Research and development is at the core

The Metalube team of chemists is

committed to solving the toughest

technical challenges – always striving

all of its own lubricants and greases

from its new purpose-built laboratory,

which opened in 2015. This facility is fully

equipped for both quality control and

research and development.

Metalube is a winner of two Queen’s

company invented a new synthetic grease,

‘OCG 6000’, which protects overhead

electrical conductors.

Its Manchester factory was also recognised

Miltec UV, a manufacturer of both arc

and microwave UV systems, will be

featuring the release of the new Xtrema

ECO UV system. The patented Xtrema

ECO is claimed to be the rst signi cant

UV curing advancement in over 30 years

and is designed speci cally for the optical

bre, wire, colouring and FRP coating

markets.

Optical bre manufacturers continually

pursue new ways to increase line speeds

and e ciency while reducing operating
