Credit & Return Request Policy
It is our policy to ship only clean, new, merchandise. Therefore we do not participate in buy-backs, guaranteed sales,
or accept any returns of special order merchandise. There may be instances where we will authorize the return of
non-defective merchandise for credit to your account.
No returns will be accepted after 3 months. All returns must be approved by Hardware House by contacting Customer
Service and must be accompanied with an RGA (Return Good Authorization) number.
Return Merchandise must be:
1. Purchased from Hardware House, LLC directly, not through a third party source.
2. Completely saleable:
a. Merchandise sold in full cartons only (Do Not Break Cartons) cannot be returned in less than full cartons.
b. Merchandise must be in original cartons without marketing or stickers.
Note: If package has been damaged by removal of markings or stickers, it is not saleable.
c. Discontinued items are not saleable; therefore, not returnable.
Inspect merchandise to verify that is saleable:
1. Merchandise returned to Hardware House that is not saleable will be returned and no credit issued.
2. At Hardware House’s option, markings or stickers may be removed to make the merchandise saleable, in which case
a 10% fee is deducted from the credit for the returned merchandise.
Returned merchandise is subject to a 20% restocking fee on claims submitted more than 30 days after the invoice date.
No returns after three months.
Our merchandise return policy does not provide for the return of overstock or slow-moving inventory.
Only regular stock merchandise is subject to return if qualifications are met. Special Order, container / direct order any
merchandise billed from Hardware House is not returnable. Promotional merchandise that has been ordered is also not
returnable.
At Hardware House, LLC, we ship at an incredible accuracy rate less than one error for every 2,000 items shipped. However,
if we do make an error please:
Shortages claims must be reported by either calling customer service or filling an online credit request shortage claim.
Claims must be filled within 7 days.
If shipping errors occur (items received but not ordered or invoiced), please report error.
A 15% discount is given on overage merchandise retained by the customer when the overage was the result of a Hardware
House error.
If a large number of cartons are missing from an order, please contact customer service immediately to see if the merchandise
has been located and is available for delivery. Please report shortages in a timely manner (7 days).
