The newly developed AM 4000 range fromMetzner presents four
cable processing machines with precision and speed described
as “significantly ahead of other suppliers.” The high performance
AM 4000 series is said to process cables up to 17.5mm diameter
and cross-sectional areas up to 95mm². Output rates of up
to 7,200 cables per hour are thought to position the AM 4000
models amongst the fastest available on the market. This
speed is achieved by special processing technology, whereby
the cut-to-length, stripping of the cable ends and starts are all
performed in one working cycle. The machines are suitable for
applications where cables are to be processed in large numbers
and production capacity is a decisive factor.
All insulation is carried out without stretching or compression
of the material. Despite the high processing speeds, the cables
are carefully handled with precision during transport, cutting
and insulation phases. The AM 4200 and AM 4400 models
offer an insulation stripping head with a total insulation
length of 105mm and 120mm respectively, whilst the AM
4300 and AM 4500, with two stripping heads, handle total
insulation lengths of 225mm and 260mm. The machines are
optimally equipped in accordance with customers’ individual
requirements.
Every AM 4000 model is equipped with numerous interfaces for
peripheral equipment, which allows the machines to be easily
integrated in a cable processing line without extra expense.

and the Becker-Fritz continuous wire annealing furnace system,
on a local manufacture basis.
