HOLLAND GIN COCKTAIL.
Fill mixing-glass two-thirds full of fine ice,
one bar-spoonful syrup,two dashes Caroni or An
gostura bitters, one piece twisted lemon peel, one
jigger Holland gin; stir thoroughly, strain in
previously cooled cocktail-glass.
BRANDY TODDY.
Fill mixing-glass two-thirds full of fine ice,
large bar-spoonful syrup, one jigger brandy ; stir
well, strain in previously cooled cocktail-glass,
twist piece of lemon peel over the top of glass so
the oil from it will flavor; add nutmeg.
MARTINEZ COCKTAIL.
Fill mixing-glass two-thirds full of fine ice,
one small bar-spoonful syrup, two dashes Caroni
or Angostura bitters, one-half jigger Old Tom
gin, one-half jigger Vermouth. Stir well, strain
in cooled cocktail-glass ; squeeze oil from small
jiece lemon peel on top. Serve fruit if desired.
