3.2 Accuracy

The standard performance requirement 2014.002 stated that the recovery ranges between 90 and

110% over the range of the essay. This recovery was measured by spiking 9 different matrices at

different levels covering the proposed range from 0.05 to 5 g/100g reconstituted product.

The 3 raw materials available in the Test Materials Kit were used for this spiking.

The average recovery for the different levels of spiking ranges from 96.9 to 107.1%, for which

107.1% seems to be a higher value in the series of recovery results. It is clear that this value is for

spiking at the lowest level which generates the highest error but for this sample were also amounts

of fructans observed but below the LOQ.

The RSD ranges from 0.4 to 7.2%, for which the highest value is also the lowest spiking level.

The overall average recovery is very well, being 100.3% and meets the requirements of the SMPR

2014.002.
