Whole Liver Irradiation (WLI)
• EBRT- for pain from infiltration of capsule
• Relief in pain 60-90%, other symptoms: anorexia, fever, sweating- about 20-
30%
• Low doses 21-30 Gy in 7-19 fractions 1,5 -3 Gy or 1 x 8Gy
• Improvement of PS -25%
• Survival advantage – unclear
• No evidence for better results in combination with chemotherapy or
readiosensitizers
