DEWA C3: Technical assistance responding to requests from
Governments to enhance their institutional and technical
capacity on issues of high international priority, such as
disaster risk reduction, biodiversity data management and

Draft water management plan for the Lake Druksiai / Drisvyaty basin (Belarus,

Basin-wide GIS system is developed for the Dniester river basin (Moldova (in
partnership with Transnistrian region) and Ukraine). A draft of legal agreement on
exchange of environmental information is facilitated.

North-south and south-south cooperation in environmental information
strengthened. A partners’ meeting held in Kampala, Uganda, April 2008. Two
proposals to FK Norway submitted; both approved for implementation during

collaboration with UNEP, EIS-AFRICA, NEMA Uganda and SARDC.
