Lean & Agile Playbook v.2.01 – modified MAY2016

Just Enough

The concept of having just enough info, data, ideas, etc. to get started or move ahead on a

particular task, instead of waiting for everything before starting. This can be a powerful tool

to avoid “spinning.”

Kanban

A method for visually managing and scheduling work or tasks. This approach presents all

participants with a full view of work that has not started, what is in process and what has

been completed.

Essential

+ Must include TO DO, DOING and DONE categories to tracking workflow

+ Additional categories (i.e. Backlog, Next/Staging, Review, etc.) can be included

at the team’s discretion

+ Limit work in progress (WIP) to prevent your team from becoming overwhelmed,

and keep progress continuous

+ Manage flow in order to allow and prepare for changes that will occur within the

iteration

+ Visible and accessible to the entire team
