PROCEEDINGS AGAINST

BY Order of the Chief Justice dated 9th May, 1947,
made on a report from the Statutory Committee, it
was ordered that the name of Matthew Dolan, a
solicitor, who formerly practised at 22 Parliament
Street, Dublin, be struck off the roll of solicitors on
the ground of professional misconduct.
By Order of the Chief Justice dated 6th June,
1947, made on a report from the Statutory Com–
mittee it was ordered that the name of Peter Raymond
Murphy, who formerly practised at 53 South Mall,
Cork, be struck off the roll of solicitors on the
ground of professional misconduct.

OBITUARY
MR. VESEY C. NASH, Solicitor, died at his residence,
Beausite, Rushbrooke, Co. Cork, on i2th June,
Mr. Nash was admitted a Solicitor in Trinity
Sittings, 1889, and practised in Cork up to the year
1909.
He was Marshal and Registrar of The
Admiralty Court, Dublin, from 1910 to 1926.
MR. FREDERICK W. D. MOORHEAD, Solicitor, died
at his residence, Newtowngirley, Kells, Co. Meath, on
2nd July, 1947.
Mr. Moorhead served his apprenticeship with
the late Mr. Henry F. Brenan, Dublin, was admitted
in Trinity Sittings, 1927, and practised at Trim.
MR. HENRY E. DONEGAN, Solicitor, died in a boating
accident at Dun Laoghaire, on 5th July, 1947.
Mr. Donegan served his apprenticeship with the
late Mr. Henry P. F. Donegan of Cork, was admitted
in Easter Sittings, 1928, and practised at 74 South
Mall, Cork.

CHARLES
JERMYN,
Solicitor, died
at
his
residence, Glanseskin, Douglas, Cork, on 2oth
July, 1947.
Mr. Jermyn served his apprenticeship with the
late Mr. Thomas H. Jermyn, of Cork ; was admitted
in Trinity Sittings, 1891, and practised as a partner
in the firm of Gregg, Jermyn & Son at 67 South
Mall, Cork.
MR. EDWARD THORNTON, Solicitor, died at his
residence, 41 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin, on igth
July, 1947.
Mr. Thornton, who was formerly a Barrister, was
admitted in Easter Sittings, 1941, and practised at
7 Upper Ormond Quay, Dublin.
