annual event recognizes outstanding people and companies within the event industry.

TripAdvisor® 2015 Certificate of Excellence Award

The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates hospitality excellence

and is only presented to businesses that consistently achieve

outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor®. To qualify for the

award, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher

as reviewed by travellers on the travel website. Only the top performing

10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor® receive the award

nominated for the award by past guests who had hosted meetings and conferences at the hotel over the

past year. The DoubleTree by Hilton™ West Edmonton beat out 29 premier hotels across Manitoba,

Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C.

More than 1,500 people cast their votes for the year’s best Canadian hotels, venues and meeting service

suppliers in the magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Competing against more than two dozen

luxury hotels including Chateau Lacombe and Hotel MacDonald by Fairmont, DoubleTree by Hilton™ West

Edmonton was chosen by readers as first in its class, taking home the award for Best Hotel in Western

Canada.
