OBITUARY.

MR. ROBERT T. F. GREENE, Solicitor, died

on the 12th May, 1934, at his residence, 1

Galtrim Road, Bray, Co. Wickldw.

-

Mr. Greene served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Frederick A. Barlow, Dublin,

was admitted -in Trinity Sittings,

1897,

and practised as a" member of the firm of

Jameson and Greene at 182 Pearse Street

Dublin.

.MR. SAMUEL Ross, Solicitor, died on the

16th May, 1934, at " Dunrobin," Helen's

Bay, Co. Down.

Mr. Ross was admitted in Hilary Sittings,

1890, and practised as a member of the

firm of Samuel Ross & Co., at 10 Arthur

Street, Belfast.

MR. WILLIAM

J. REYNOLDS, Solicitor,

died on the 23rd May, 1934, at his residence,

Howard Terrace, Dungannon.

Mr. Reynolds was admitted in Trinity

Sittings, 1879, and practised at Dungannon.

MR.

EDWARD MACDERMOTT,

Solicitor,

died on the 25th May, 1934.

Mr. MacDermott served his apprenticeship

with his father, Mr. Joseph E. MacDermott,

Dublin, was admitted

in Hilary Sittings,

1921,

and practised at 21 Nassau Street,

Dublin.

SOCIETY.

The Annual competition was held at

Dollymount

(by kind permission of

the

Royal Dublin Golf Club) on Thursday,

the 24th May, at which 50 members com–

peted.

The following were the best scores.

D. J. Collins, 75

(2) 73, winner of Cup.

J. O'Connor, C. Magwood, J. P. McCurtin,

M. G. Lardner and B. Collins tied for 2nd

place with 75 each.

The Fourball Sweepstakes were won by

Messrs. Grove White and Fitzpatrick with

6 up Messrs. Basil Thompson and Rolleston

being 2nd with 4 up.

The Annual Meeting of the Society was

held in the evening, at which the following

officers were appointed.

President. The President of the Incor–

porated Law Society.

Captain. Mr. Sydney Mathews.

Committee. Messrs. R. G. Warren, P. M.

Seales, A. Lane Joynt, J. D. McLoughlin,

D. R. Pigot and M. A. Corrigan.

A very enjoyable dinner was held in the

clubhouse,

at which 40 members were

present Mr. Mathews the Captain presiding.
