CLASS REPS: Lolly Gillen and Shelagh Speers

Pamela (Pam) Baker Glassoff

has been a Californian

for 43 years! She went west to study est, got married

and raised a son on a commune, earned a BA in ethnic

studies and has worked for 20 years for a San Francisco

non-profit.

Lorraine Baker

sold her home in Quebec

and moved into a bungalow in Perth, ON to give her

new pooch a backyard. She is still golfing and curling. In

Newfoundland,

Liz Belshaw

volunteers and works part

time. With both sons in Toronto, Liz and Bill visit often

and also travelled to St. Lucia, Jasper, Ottawa and Florida.

Patti Bunston Gunn

, proud grandma to 3-year-old

granddaughter Brooke and year-old grandson William, says

“It’s the best!” In B.C.,

Janet Frost

and Brian are preparing

for daughter Clare’s summer wedding in Switzerland and

B.C. Clare is a clinical psychologist in Zurich and daughter

April is a research scientist in D.C. Janet’s sister bought a

summer home in P.E.I. on the advice of

As president of Squash Canada,

Lolly Gillen

attended

WSF meetings in London and Hong Kong to make squash

an Olympic sport. Inducted into the Toronto Cricket

Club Squash Hall of Fame, Lolly won her 50th doubles

title while juggling real estate clients. She recently sold

Lollywood with an option to rent.

Anne Grosskurth

went

to London in 1980 for a master’s at University College

and never returned! Married for 35 years, Anne and Julian

have two adult sons. After a career in the U.K. civil service

in public health regulation, Anne took early retirement for

MS but doesn’t let it stop her from enjoying life!

Susan (Sue) Jones Escoffery

’s visit to China with her

daughter on a birth-parent search yielded no answers,

but turned her daughter into a social media darling! Her

story was on national TV and trended everywhere.

Judy

Lamb-Jacobs

’s son Michael and his wife, who have a

darling 18-month-old, are expecting identical twin girls –

three grandbabies under two!

Mairy Lloyd Merkley

has

taken up flamenco and Argentine tango dancing. During

a month in Morocco, she rode a camel into the Sahara

and slept under the stars!

Leslie (Helga) McLeod

, still

at Osgoode, will travel with Ignace to England in May

to see daughter Olivia receive her PhD in biochemistry

from the University of Cambridge. On Salt Spring Island,

B.C.,

Anne Palmer

’s creating a self-sufficient mini-farm

with hens, greenhouse, fruit trees, herb and vegetable

gardens and water catchment tank, and loving island life

year-round.

Lynn (Plummer) Morse

and Paul sold their home,

bought and renovated a condo, moved, became empty

nesters and took a Caribbean cruise. No retirement plans

for Lynn!

Sara (Sally) Southey

lost her battle with an

Ottawa high-rise developer, and joined the boards of

Consumers Council of Canada and the Blue Sea Lake

Watershed Association. She enjoys consulting as well as

travelling with Ben, newly retired.

Shelagh Speers

, back

in Toronto for “three funerals and a wedding” this year,

just finished authoring an English-language textbook for

children.

Julie Todd McMeekin

’s daughter Anna got

married, and daughter Eve got engaged. Julie enjoyed

welcoming classmates to ArteMbassy in May.
