CLASS REPS: Jennifer Carter and Catherine (Cathy)

Robinson Clark

Another year has flown by for the Class of 1974 as we

continue to celebrate great achievements in both our

personal and professional lives.

In addition to her busy role as group head, Personal

& Commercial Banking at RBC,

Jennifer Tory

recently

assumed the chair position at TIFF and continues her

work with Sunnybrook, WE and the United Way. In fall

2016,

Virginia (Ginnie) Grand Wright

was blessed with

another grandchild. She now has three grandchildren

‒ one granddaughter and two grandsons. In June 2017,

Ginnie will retire from teaching and looks forward to

more time for family, friends, travel and “me time.”

Kelly

Scott

continues her full-time position at St. Mildred’s

Lightbourn School in JK. She also loves spending time

with her grandchildren and enjoys visiting Algonquin Park

each August. In spring 2016, Kelly and Mark travelled to

Amsterdam, Bruges, and Prague. During this trip, they

visited Keukenhoff Gardens, a dream come true for Kelly!

In fall 2016,

Gillian (Gil) O’Reilly

and her husband

Tony enjoyed a walking tour of Tuscany, along with a

short trip to Rome where Gill was able to utilize her Latin

lessons from BBJ and Mrs. Collinge. She is currently

working on a children’s book about Dr. William Osler and

recently joined the board of Telling Tales, a Hamilton-

based children’s book festival and fundraiser for literacy.

Katherine von Ofenhein Paine

aspires to return to sea

with her husband Stephen, and visit the places that they

missed on their first circumnavigation (2000-2006). They

hope to find an ocean-worthy vessel within two years and,

in the meantime, Katherine will continue her hobbies of

beekeeping, boating and swimming in Guernsey.

In August 2016,

Alannah Campbell Kearns

travelled

to Vermont to surprise

Judith (Judy) Davidson

Whitehead

. Alannah is delighted to report that Judy looks

almost as young as she did in 1973 and still tells a story

with Jamaican humour and British wit. Alannah and Judy

laughed, cried, ate meals made by Judy’s daughters, drank

wine poured by Judy’s husband of 35+ years and realized

once again how deep the friendships made at Havergal

can be!
