DUTIES OF THE GGCA NATIONAL SECRETARY
6.2
(1)
The GGCA National Secretary shall be the Union’s Chief Executive
Officer and shall be responsible to the GGCA Executive Committee.
(2)
The GGCA National Secretary’s duties shall include:
(a)
advising upon and implementing policy and other decisions
of the GGCA Executive Committee;
(b)
being responsible for the efficient administration and
management of those powers and functions of the GGCA
Executive Committee detailed in Part 5 of these rules;
(c)
ensuring that minutes and decisions of all meetings are
properly recorded;
(d)
acting as principal spokesperson for the Union; and
(e)
managing all offices and staff of the Union, and being
responsible to the GGCA Executive Committee for finance.
(3)
The GGCA National Secretary may, with the approval of the GGCA
Executive Committee, delegate any or all such duties whenever
necessary or desirable to do so.
PART 7 - FINANCE
7.1
The financial year of the Union shall be from 1st January to 31st December.
7.2
The GGCA Executive Committee shall control the expenditure of the Union in
conjunction with the President, the Treasurer and the GGCA National
Secretary.
7.3
(1)
The GGCA Executive Committee shall keep proper accounts of all
monies received and paid by or on behalf of the Union and on the
matters in respect of which such monies are received or paid and on
the assets and liabilities of the Union.
(2)
Such accounts shall be open to the inspection of any member subject
to the provisions of Rule 2.10.
