DAVIS-Standard lost a loyal employee
and friend on 9
th
June with the death
of Edward Trimpert Sr, after com-
plications from a heart attack. He will
be fondly remembered and missed by
all who knew him. He spent the
majority of his 20-year career as a
plastics
engineer
with
Davis-
Standard, starting with Egan John
Brown Plastics (now Davis-Standard)
in 1983.
Most recently, he worked as an
international sales engineer in the
sheet group covering Asia and Latin
America. He was known as a hard
worker and talented engineer, using
his skills to grow the company.
“Sheet extrusion was Ed’s passion,”
said Steve DeAngelis, Davis-Standard
vice president, sheet and foam.
“He was dedicated, a problem solver
and an outstanding teacher, which
endeared him to customers and
colleagues alike. His absence will
impact all who knew him.”
In addition to his outstanding work on
the job, Mr Trimpert was an avid
sports fan. He loved the Yankees and
Cowboys, and was very involved in
coaching his children’s sports teams.
He is survived by his wife Theresa and
two children, Nikki and Eddie Jr.
