A Special General Meeting was held to consider
the appointment o f a new lecturer, or lecturers for
Course C, General Practice and Conveyancing. The
matter was referred to the President and Secretary
to be dealt with as a matter o f urgency.
A number o f applications under section 47 and
apprentices, applications were dealt with.

sympathy
with the widow and relatives o f the late Mr. T. P.
Waller, B .A ., the Society’s Special Examiner in Irish
for the Preliminary Examination and the Examina
tions under the Legal Practitioners (Qualification)
Act, 1929.
Lecturer
on
General
Practice,
and
Conveyancing.

Secretary reported that Mr. R. W. Johnston,
B.A. (Mod.), T.C.D., had been appointed as lecturer
on conveyancing practice, and had taken up duty
on 4th October. The lectureship on general office
practice had not yet been filled. It was decided to
invite applications from solicitors for the position
o f lecturer on general office practice.
