ceremony
of
motan-colortronic do Brasil Ltda took
place in Piracicaba in the state of São
Paulo, Brazil. It was attended by a large
number of representatives of customers
and associations and high-ranking
people from politics and administration.
The new sales subsidiary of
motan-colortronic marks ano-
ther step of the company
towards
becoming
firmly
established in the South
American market.
Among the guests were
Antonio Dottori of the Brazilian
Machines and Equipment
Industry Association (Assoc-
iação Brasileira de Máquinas e
Equipamentos – Abimaq),
Thomas Ulbrich of VDMA
Brazil,
as
well
as
representatives of the Scha-
effler Group, Toyota, TE
Connectivity, Krauss Maffei,
Engel, Pallmann and many
other customers.
The welcome speech was delivered by
Pedro Kawai, a member of the
Piracicaba City Council. Tomás
Martins,
managing
director
of
Gerresheimer Brazil, emphasised the
reliability and recipe constancy of the
motan-colortronic products in medical
technology, and how important it was
to now have this support and service
right on the doorstep. The managing
directors of motan holding Germany,
Sandra Füllsack and Ulrich Eberhardt,
fully agreed.
Sandra Füllsack explained the
decentralised approach of the
company: “Our customers can
rely on the ‘quality made by
motan’ wherever they are.
“With motan-colortronic do
Brasil we have laid the
foundation for further growth
and sustainable development
in the South American market.”
Ulrich Eberhardt added that

serve our customers even
better.”

www.motan-colortronic.comSUB-STATIONS and cabling connecting the Gwynt y Môr
wind farm in Wales have been sold in a £350m deal. The
owners (RWE Innogy UK, Stadtwerke München GmbH and
Siemens) announced the completed sale of transmission
assets to Gwynt y Môr OFTO PLC, a consortium formed by
Balfour Beatty Investments Ltd and Equitix Ltd.
In July 2013, following a competitive tender, Gwynt y Môr
OFTO PLC was selected by Ofgem as the preferred bidder
for the Gwynt y Môr offshore transmission licence.
The Gwynt y Môr transmission assets consist of two
132/33kV offshore substations, four 132kV subsea and land
export cables and a newly constructed 132/400kV onshore
substation at St Asaph. RWE and its partners will now pay
annual network charges to use the transmission facilities.
RWE Innogy UK’s Gwynt y Môr project director, Toby
Edmonds, said: “The sale of the Gwynt y Môr OFTO assets
on favourable terms brings in £352 million which is very
good news, and demonstrates the quality of the assets we
have designed, constructed and commissioned at Gwynt y
Môr.”
Gwynt y Môr consists of 160 turbines with an installed
capacity of 576MW.
A spokesman said: “The annual revenue required by the
PLC (which is the basis for the transmission network
charges that Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm will pay for
the next 20 years) will be proportionally the lowest amongst
all previous OFTO transactions. In this respect it is the most
beneficial OFTO assets disposal for an offshore wind farm
developer to date.”
