NEW BUSINESS
a.
Topic #1 - A discussion was held on the dredging of the Genoa. That is the entrance to
the club leading to the Robison. The cost is $3,000 and it will include dredging up to 3
feet deep, 10 feet wide and 150 feet long.
Motion:
Moved by PC Hugh Vestal to do the
dredging. Seconded by Diane French.
Motion Carried.
b.
Topic #2 - The 2014 budget was presented to the board. It was reviewed and a
discussion was held. Kim Miedema wanted clarification on the need to purchase a
generator. It was discussed that the generator was necessary in the event of a loss of
power or low power in order to protect the investment of our refrigeration units from
damage. It would also ensure the quality of the items stored in those units.
Motion:
Moved by Greg Brigman to approve the budget as presented by the Finance Committee
and present it to the membership at the General Membership Meeting on November 9,
2013. Seconded by Diane French.
Motion Carried.
c.
Topic #3 – Commodore Don Vanover requested an amendment to the agenda to add
the Forward Planning Committee report.
Motion:
Moved by Kim Miedema to add the
Forward Planning Committee report to the agenda. Seconded by Diane French.
Motion
Carried.
A review of the Forward Planning Committee suggestions for 5 year and 10
year future projects was discussed. The suggestions will be presented to the
membership at the November 9th General Membership meeting.

Don Reiss to accept the Forward Planning Committee suggestions and present to
membership. Seconded by PC Hugh Vestal.
Motion Carried.
III.
Member of the Month --- PC Hugh Vestal identified the candidates and Chuck Stroh will
write the article.
MOTION:
Moved by PC Hugh Vestal and seconded by Chuck Stroh to name Ron
Kemp and Ed Romatz as members of the month for November.
