Mr. Manning
asked the Minister for Justice if he
had any plans to implement legislation based on the rec-
ommendations contained in the Restrictive Practices
Commission Report of Enquiry into restrictions on con-
veyancing and advertising by solicitors; and if he will
make a statement on the matter.
Minister for Justice (Mr. Noonan,
Limerick East):
The recommendations in the Restrictive Practices Com-
mission Report which come within my area of respon-
sibility are being taken into account in the review of the
Solicitors Acts 1954-1960 which is at present proceeding
in my Department. I expect this review to be finalised
soon and I will be putting proposals for amending legis-
lation to the Government, in the usual way, after that.
