INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION
The International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators announce a two-day
seminar on "TWO PARALLEL ARBITRATIONS — PRACTICE POINTS ARISING UNDER
THE SAME DISPUTE. ONE UNDER CIVIL LAW AND THE OTHER UNDER COMMON LAW",
to be held on 4/5 April 1986 in London.
The objective of the seminar is, by a comparison of approaches, to ascertain in practice how to draft
reference to arbitration and how preparation for and conduct of arbitration can be made more
effective — with special reference to a construction industry dispute.
An introduction will be made by the Rt Hon The Lord Roskill, President of the London Court of
Arbitration, following which the seminar will be split into the following sessions:
