A.
Purpose
In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan, the Medium Density Residential District accommodates
neighborhoods with a variety of housing types and a net density between 4.5 and 7.5 dwelling units per acre.
It is suitable for infill development in established neighborhoods, for development of areas identified as
medium density residential in the Comprehensive Plan, or areas suited to medium density development
supported by adequate infrastructure and nonresidential land uses. The regulations of this district are intended
to allow innovation in the arrangement of buildings within such developments and discourage the development
of land uses that could substantially interfere with, or be detrimental, to residential character.
