Xiris appoints
distributors for Korea
and China regions
XIRIS Automation specialises in
developing optical equipment used
for process and quality control across
a number of industries, providing
manufacturers with the ability to detect,
recognise and interpret quality defects
in their manufactured goods.
Monitech Co, Ltd, a real-time weld
quality monitoring solution provider, is
now the exclusive sales agency for Xiris
Automation weld cameras in Korea.
David Hwang, president of Monitech,
commented, “We are pleased to have
the opportunity to work with Xiris here
in Korea as the weld camera will offer
a superior technology to our customers.
We hereby hope that this mutual
agreement would contribute toward the
field of welding.”
Xiris Automation has also named
Harbin
Jinlifeng
Science
and
Technology Development Co Ltd as the
exclusive distributor of Xiris products,
for the welding industry in China.
This agreement enables Jinlifeng to
distribute and support Xiris products
with immediate focus on the XVC-O and
XVC-S weld cameras, to provide remote
video monitoring of welding processes.
Cameron Serles, president of Xiris
Automation, said, “We are excited to
work with such an experienced and
knowledgeable organisation as Jinlifeng
and their welding expert, Dr Sanbao
Lin, Professor of Welding at the State
Key Lab of Welding in Harbin, China,
a well renowned expert in welding
processes and techniques. Jinlifeng
shares our values of product quality,
customer satisfaction and continuous
improvement of technology.”
The XVC-O weld camera with high
dynamic range imaging allows operators
to simultaneously view details of
automated welds in both the extremely
bright region of the open arc and in the
much darker surrounding background.
Standard cameras are unable to image
such a wide range of brightness.

Interpipe receives
approval from ENI
INTERPIPE production facilities have
passed the qualification audit of the
Italian oil and gas company ENI SpA.
In the process of this audit, ENI
representatives visited the company’s
pipe mills – Interpipe NTRP, Interpipe
Niko Tube, and Interpipe NMPP. Experts
assessed the technical capabilities of
the production equipment and operation
of the mill’s quality control system. ENI’s
auditors have received evidence of the
compliance of Interpipe tubular products
with international standards and ENI’s
in-house requirements.
Based on the results of this audit,
Interpipe is now an approved supplier
for ENI SpA. In particular, ENI has
agreed to the qualification of Interpipe’s
oil and gas tubular products: API 5 CT
threaded casings and seamless and
welded line pipes. Obtainment of this
pre-qualification will enable Interpipe to
supply tubular products to all of ENI’s
production facilities.
Denis Morozov, Interpipe’s director
for strategic development, commented,
“Interpipe’s successful qualification
according to some of the largest oil
and gas industry players, including ENI
SpA, Shell, and South Oil Company,
confirms the quality of Interpipe’s
tubular products.”
