Laser Series 2000 and 6000
– suitable for all applications
FOR more than two decades Sikora
has been using the combination of laser
technology and CCD sensors used in
the Laser Series 2000 and Laser Series
6000 for diameter measurement of
hoses and tubes. Compared to other
methods, which are sometimes based
on light and shadow, Sikora devices use
more precise values in the measurement
of transparent and non-transparent
hoses.
The Laser Series 6000 offers high
precision and reliability, which is essen-
tial in diameter measuring devices. With
up to 5,000 measurements per second,
all with an extremely high single-value
precision, the Sikora devices provide an
optimal line control and reliable statistical
data. Due to the high measuring rate of
the devices, a simultaneous detection
of lumps and neckdowns is possible.
Precision and repeatability for product
diameters from 0.2 to 78mm are also
possible.
The combination of intelligent software
and powerful high-end hardware of the
Laser Series 6000 also enables the
measurement of transparent products
within the diameter measurement
device.
This application is especially
interesting for manufacturers of highly
demanding end products. During the
production of sensitive products, such
as medical hoses, compliance with
prescribed dimensions as well as
absolute quality is indispensable in
order to fulfil the requirements of the
medical market.
Sikora also offers the three-axis
measurement device of the Laser Series
2000 T high-quality laser technology
for diameter measurement, including
minimum and maximum values as well
as ovality. High precision, reliability and
continuous functionality are the main
benefits of the T gauge heads for the
diameter range from 0.2 to 100mm.
The three-axis measuring devices of
the Laser Series 2000 T are equipped
with special hardware and software
and are, therefore, able to measure the
diameter and the ovality of transparent
products precisely.

Hose and tube processing equipment from O+P
FIVE years after the launch of its first
foreign office, O+P has confirmed
its role as a growing player in the
international market of hose and tube
processing equipment, thanks to an
active presence in the US and Chinese
markets.
The first Asian branch in Shanghai
dates back to 2011 and started with
O+P’s collaboration with a Chinese
distributor.
The Chinese headquarters now
has eleven employees, operating in
commercial offices, and administrative
and service-producing areas.
The main benefit is the presence
of an internal after-sales department
that is structured and highly qualified.
The team is able to respond quickly
to customer requests and provide
assistance and support.
This is a benefit that has allowed
O+P Shanghai to grow and gain
important competitive advantages
and a strong foothold in the Far East.
In 2014, O+P also opened O+P USA
Inc in Massachusetts, associated with
the National Association for Hose and
Accessories Distribution and Hose
Safety Institute, strengthened by an
established presence in the US market
and a strong brand awareness built up
over the years.
The employees at the branch
are professionals with high-level
experience in the field. All were trained
in the Italian headquarters to respond
effectively and efficiently to the needs
of North American customers in the
USA, Canada and Mexico.
Both branches have obtained
excellent commercial results since
they opened. A Tubomatic V300ES
crimping machine of 660 tons has
been the first important American
contract for O+P, sold in 2013 to a
Californian manufacturer of concrete
hoses.
O+P in Asia, in 2014, sold a V350ES
crimping machine of 1,000 tons to a
prestigious and well-known company in
the oil and gas industry that produces
and exports hoses for oil plants
internationally.
The successful development of O+P
is due to the wide range of products
it offers, the attention it gives to its
customers and its strong and well-
established international relationships.
