Summer Drinks

Claret and Cherry Cup

Crush a pint of cherries, and add t o them the

juice of three lemons and one orange, and a cup

of sugar.

Leave it to stand till all the juice is drawn

from the cherries, then strain it and add one

quart of sparkling water and one pint of claret.

Mixed Fruit Cup

Mash together half a pound of strawb erri es, half

a pound of raspberries and half a pound of red

currants. Add to them a breakfastcu pful of

sugar, and the juice of two lemons.

Pour over them as much boiling water as is

required, and leave it for twelve h ours. Strain ;

decorate with whole strawberries and vcrben:i.

Tea Cup

Make a pint of very strong good tea. Pour it

off at once on to a sliced lemon.

Put it on ice and add a bottle of soda water

before serving.
