The Zambezi River Basin has 13 sub-basins, most of which are transboundary.

The largest portion of the basin lies in Zambia, with smaller segments in Angola,

Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi in that order. Tanzania, Botswana and

Namibia have less than three per cent of the basin each.
