Attieh expands technological

and geographical operations

Attieh Steel Ltd (ASL), Saudi Arabia, is

expanding its steel operations in the Middle

East and Africa. Established in 1957, the

company already has a large number of

branch offices throughout the Gulf area.

The company is divided into three main

divisions – industrial and commercial steel

division, building material division and the

oil and gas division.

The newly developed oil and gas division

was set up to serve the growing demand

of tube, pipe, and fittings of the oil and gas

and construction industries. Operations in

the division started in 2007 in Saudi Arabia

and are expected to spread all over the Gulf

region during 2008.

ASL is well regarded in the region and its

market positioning and resources have

enabled a smooth expansion. The company

has strategic alliances with different local

and international mills including Tubos,

Schulz, Mega, Delcorte, Sumitomo,

Anabeeb, and Precision Forging. The

company has successfully won the exclusive

rights of distribution and sales of Tubos CS

in addition to the exclusivity of Schulz SS

pipes and fittings for Saudi Arabia.

ASL employs an experienced team of

over 1,500 skilled professionals to cover

its widespread operations of 46 outlets in

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman,

Bahrain, Jordan, and Sudan. To support

such wide operations, ASL has four main

the region Jeddah (270,000m²), Dammam
