Attieh Steel Ltd (ASL), Saudi Arabia, is
expanding its steel operations in the Middle
East and Africa. Established in 1957, the
company already has a large number of
branch offices throughout the Gulf area.
The company is divided into three main
divisions – industrial and commercial steel
division, building material division and the
oil and gas division.
The newly developed oil and gas division
was set up to serve the growing demand
of tube, pipe, and fittings of the oil and gas
and construction industries. Operations in
the division started in 2007 in Saudi Arabia
and are expected to spread all over the Gulf
region during 2008.
ASL is well regarded in the region and its
market positioning and resources have
enabled a smooth expansion. The company
has strategic alliances with different local
and international mills including Tubos,
Schulz, Mega, Delcorte, Sumitomo,
Anabeeb, and Precision Forging. The
company has successfully won the exclusive
rights of distribution and sales of Tubos CS
pipes in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. This is
in addition to the exclusivity of Schulz SS
pipes and fittings for Saudi Arabia.
ASL employs an experienced team of
over 1,500 skilled professionals to cover
its widespread operations of 46 outlets in
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman,
Bahrain, Jordan, and Sudan. To support
such wide operations, ASL has four main
warehouses and logistics hubs covering
the region Jeddah (270,000m²), Dammam
(370,000m²), Riyadh (240,000m²), and
Dubai (70,000m²).
