Once the bending process is complete,
the robot transfers the bent tube to the ‘pin
stamp’ marking system for identification
marking with both part number and serial
number. The robot then positions and
holds the bent/marked component while
tube trimming and parting end-forming
operations are completed. All finished
components then exit via a conveyor ready
for any other forming requirements.

machine for
compression fittings
Schwer Fittings, Germany, has launched
a newly patented electrohydrolic pre-
assembly tool, branded Pace1Press. This
machine offers a high degree of flexibility
with optimum mobility and handling.
Weighing only 7kg, Pace1Press is
powered by a rechargeable battery
to ensure independence from
power sources.
The machine, which only
requires a minimum of working
space, is extremely powerful
and can be used for all standard
compression-ring sizes. With
the high grade of mobility and
independence of power sources,
it is easy to pre-assemble
directly on the system without
dismantling. This means that
no maintenance is required on
existing systems in automotive,
high-pressure fire-safe-systems
or shipbuilding.
This benefit helps to shorten
working times, which increases efficiency
and reduces cost. Setup is simple and is
achieved by choosing tooling, adjusting
the corresponding pressure-level, and
then undertaking pre-assembly. Plates
are no longer required due to intelligent
engineering.
The machine can be used for 6-42L
(L-series) as well as 6-38S (S-series)
steel and stainless steel. A fully charged
battery can complete from 200 to 250 pre-
assemblies. The Pace1Press is CE-certified,
patented worldwide and available from
stock.
