TAG Pipe Equipment Specialists Ltd
has more than 30 years of experience
in the manufacture and supply of
pipework fabrication machinery, tools
and handling equipment. Now the
business has marked a major milestone
by celebrating its recent growth with
the opening of new purpose-built
premises.
Commenting on the opening of the
new premises in Grendon Underwood,
Buckinghamshire, UK, sales manager
Justin Gammond said: “It is paramount
that we get our equipment in front of our
customers and distributors – that’s why
many of our staff are regularly out on the
road, performing demonstrations, both
in the UK and across the globe. Another
major platform for us are exhibitions
with major events such as the recent
FABTECH in Chicago and next year’s
Steelfab in Sharjah, not to mention the
Tube Fair in Düsseldorf, and the Mach
2016 Exhibition in Birmingham.
“Our new premises also gives us the
ability to invite customers to our works
for demonstrations or in-house training,
which is vital to help us give customers
confidence in our equipment. The
custom-designed and furnished
premises also allows us to hold more
stock than ever before and that means
less lead times for our customers.
Previous maximum stock levels were
becoming insufficient for the fulfilling
of more regular larger end users or
distributor orders. Now we have all the
space here to not only store stock and
demonstrate equipment, but to also
utilise a range of test facilities and test
equipment for our rapidly growing R&D
demands.”
TAG is also about to open an Indian
company – TAGPipe India – whichwill join
overseas branches in Belgium, the USA,
Dubai and China. It has also undertaken
several recent partnerships and ventures
in North and South America, Europe, the
Middle East and Africa.
TAG specialises in six key areas of
pre-fabrication tools and equipment:
pipe cutting machines, pipe bevelling
machines, pipe alignment clamps, pipe
purging systems, pipe support stands
and buggies together with its range of
heavy-duty plate bevellers.
TAG director Aidan Tagliaferro added:
“The key to our success is the
equipment we manufacture and supply
and the team we employ to promote
and support it. Not just in its quality but
its ability to do what we say it will. We
don’t just like to talk about the quality
and performance of our equipment,
our preference is always to put our
products, and ourselves, in front of
potential customers and to let them
draw their own conclusions.”
A number of additions have recently
been made to the range, such as the new
E-Z Fab workshop cutting and bevelling
system, and the remote controlled NC
servo split-frame clamshell on-site
cutting and bevelling range.
