Pipe with corrosion-resistant coatings
Hall Longmore is co-exhibiting with
major South African businesses as the
Steel Tube Export Association of South
Africa (STEASA) on the Department of
Trade and Industry, Republic of South
Africa exhibition stand.
The company manufactures ERW pipe
to a maximum diameter of 610mm, and
SAW pipe up to 2,500mm diameter. Its
range of OCTG pipe was recently intro-
duced to the US market and is distrib-
uted internationally to selected markets.
A wide range of protective
corrosion-resistant coat-
ings and linings suitable
for various applications
will be on display.
Ongoing research and
development has led to
new capabilities in the
field of external coatings.
These include various
liquid epoxy applications;
FBE in conjunction with an
abrasive resistant overlay
(ARO); FBE in conjunction
with a polyurethane UV inhibitor; and
rigid polyurethanes (RPU). Successful
trials have also been concluded on the
manufacture of X70 pipe (DN650) for the
oil and gas market, and the manufacture
of thin wall pipe for structural purposes:
4mm DN600 (ERW) and 3.5mm DN750
(H-SAW).

building programme aims to secure

manufacturer of large bore welded steel
pipe in accordance with the American
Petroleum Institute (API) standard, and
coatings and linings in sub-Saharan
Africa.

Seamless tubes, pipes and round bar
Oscar Production Group is a
manufacturer of seamless tubes, pipes
and round bars of titanium, nickel alloys
and stainless steels. The group was
founded on the manufacturing facilities
of Workshop No 4 of the former Nikopol
Yuzhnotrubny Plant (NYTP) and hot
pressed workshop of the Scientific and
Research Institute of tube industry YE
Osada.
The group offers 40 years’ experience
in manufacturing seamless cold drawn
tubes for aerospace applications, nucle-
ar power engineering, petrochemical,
pharmaceutical, shipbuilding and the
defence industry. The mill also manu-
factures tubular products for general
applications.
The company’s range covers tubes and
pipes with outside diameter from 0.3 to
133mm and wall thickness from 0.08 to
20mm. In addition to tubular products,
the company can produce round bars
from 16 to 100mm in diameter.
The group’s specialities are the produc-
tion of extremely thin-walled titanium
tube with large outside diameters, and
titanium ribbed tubes with very tight
tolerances on all dimensions of the rib
and tube. It also produces multi-layer
tubes with individual layers from 0.16
to 0.25mm thickness; from two to 12
layers are possible.
The Oscar Group’s quality system is
certified according to ISO9001, EN9100,
PED 97/23/EC, NADCAP, NORSOK,
ARMAK and Maritime Register. Oscar
PG Ltd supplies products according
to international standards EN, DIN,
ASTM/ASME and AMS, as well as in
accordance with domestic standards
GOST and TU, and special requirements
of the customer.

Boray Pipe and Profile Co is a Turkish
manufacturer of industrial steel pipes
and construction steel profiles. The
company is part of Aytekin Group
Companies. It is one of the largest
steel manufacturers and exporters in the
Mediterranean region. The company’s
production capacity is greater than
60,000 tons per year. It manufactures
industrial pipes, construction profiles,
flower or wood patterned profiles
and pipes, hammered profiles, plain
and patterned handrails, galvanised
construction profiles and pipes, and
special shaped profiles. Products range
from 1 to 4mm thickness. Dimensions
are between 20x20 and 80x80mm for
square profiles, and 20x30 to 60x100mm
for rectangular profiles. Pipe diameters
range between 20 and 101.6mm.
