Spray mark systems for precise

dot and line marking

REA

Elektronik,

Germany,

manufactures non-contact coding

and marking equipment for

industrial applications.

The company’s versatile printers

can be used for printing on many

products and surfaces, and

have proven to be reliable in the

toughest industries, such as steel.

The company will be presenting

its coding and marking systems at

the EuroBLECH show in Hanover,

including the REA-JET ST spray technology marking system, which is designed

to apply all types of lacquer, inks, adhesives, lubricating greases, resins and

mould release agents.

REA states that its customers have very special requirements in terms of short

drying time, as well as clear visibility and legibility of the actual mark on oily,

greasy, damp, absorbent and hot or dirty surface areas.

Applications for the REA-JET ST spray mark system include the marking of

accepted or rejected production parts after quality inspection; marking of

cutting, bending and folding-edges; application of contrast mirrors or dot

marking of electrical boards or shock absorber springs. The automatic REA-

JET spray mark systems are easy to use and have low maintenance costs, and

provide repeatability of a high quality mark in every mounting direction.

The compact design allows for trouble-free integration into an existing

production environment. The size and saturation of the mark can be adapted to

the user’s specifications by use of a simple adjustment procedure, and several

spray mark heads can be combined to form a spray mark block.

As part of its ongoing strategic

investment programme, tubular wheel

company Interpipe has launched a

project to build a pipe coating line

based at Interpipe NTRP.

The planned production capacity of

the line is 250,000 tons of pipes per

year, and it will be the first of its size in

Ukraine.

The process of ultraviolet polymerisation

will be used to coat the pipes, and will

take less than two seconds to dry. The

new coating will protect the pipes from

corrosion for a long-term period – a key

factor when the product is being kept

and transported. The new coating is also

environmentally friendly, as it contains no

harmful substances. Aleksey Slyusarev,

Interpipe director of production and

investments, commented,

“This new

equipment brings together the best

combination of ecological sustainability

and functionality. On the one hand it is

environmentally safe for our workers and

on the other, it is a great opportunity to

coat different pipe types, and improve the

commodity properties and performance

of our products.”
