will be tested using the 3M MDA 2 test kits (
Listeria
and
Listeria
monocytogenes
) and thirty-six 125g test portions (12 at each level) will be
tested by the reference method.
3.3.3
Each laboratory will test all test portions. Each food will be inoculated
with a different
Listeria monocytogenes
strain as listed in Table 1 and will
be randomized and blind-coded for analysis.
3.4
Study Schedule
3.4.1
One matrix will be tested each week of the study. All data should be sent
to the Study Director by the 4
th
week of study.
3.4.2
The contract laboratory will prepare the test portions and ship the test
portions refrigerated via overnight courier to the collaborators to arrive on
a Friday. Test portion processing and analysis will begin on Monday.
Data forms will be completed and faxed or emailed back to the co-Study
Director by the following Friday.
