THE PRESSURE PLATE COVER ASSEMBLY
can be
a cause of clutch failure related to shocks of stress
during fitting onto the flywheel.
Follow specific Valeo installation instructions
Fitting pins must be used, they have two roles:
l
they ease the fitting by centering the cover
assembly onto the flywheel
l
they ease the fitting by supporting part of the
cover assembly weight (up to 40kg) before the
screwing operation
The cover assembly must be screwed according to
the sequence defined in Valeo fitting instructions.
Impact wrench is not allowed to fix the
cover assembly,
a torque wrench is nevertheless
mandatory.
Fitting pins (11) are then
removed and replaced by the
remaining fixing screws (12)
