The Overend Final Examination Scholar
ship (Real Property and Conveyancing) was
awarded to Frederick B. McCormick, B.A.,
T.C.D., who served his apprenticeship
to
Mr. Henry P. Mayne.
The Overend Preliminary Examination
Scholarship has been awarded to James J.
Byrne.
The Findlater Scholarship will not be
awarded for 1938.
LEGAL PRACTITIONERS
(QUALIFICATION) ACT,
1929.
There will be First and Second Examina
tions in Irish held in the months of February,
June and October, 1939. These examina
tions in February will be held on the 10th
and llth days of that month. Notices to be
lodged before 21st January.

SOCIETY.
The autumn meeting of the above Society
was held at the Royal Dublin Golf Club, on
22nd September, 1938. The following are the
results of the Competitions played :—
The Incorporated Law Society Challenge Cup.

Ryan (83-6), 77. On the play-off the Cup
was won by R. H. Ryan, and R. G. M.
Saunders won the runner-up prize.
