612 Scaglietti
Designed by Pininfarina and
named in honor of the legendary
Sergio Scaglietti responsible for the
styling of some of Ferrari’s most
beautiful cars of the 1950s and
1960s, the 612 Scaglietti offered
the perfect fusion of innovation
and design with unprecedented
comfort. Since the launch of the
1948 166 Inter, Ferrari has produced
a number of successful 2+2s,
with each generation pushing
the boundaries of technology
and sophistication, and the 612
Scaglietti was no exception. The
dynamic mid-front-mounted V12
engine had been situated further
back and active suspension allowed
the car to automatically adapt to
road conditions. Generating a
magnificent 540 bhp, the 612 could
achieve 0-60 in four seconds and
power on to 199 mph. In addition
to manual transmission, the
Scaglietti was available with a F1A
electrohydraulic gearbox, reducing

The aluminum chassis and
bodywork were remarkably
light, offering enhanced benefits
to performance, comfort, and
handling. The Scaglietti’s most
notable feature was the panoramic
electrochromic roof extending from
windscreen to rear window with
three tint settings giving the illusion
of driving an open top car.
