Xerostomia and disphagia after IMRT

Prospective study, 294 pts, IMRT 2206-2010

EORTC QoL-C30, H&N 35 questionnaires

65 pts: also objective measurements

QoL data: low degree of disphagia compared to objective measures

Both subjective and objective measurements of late disphagia correlated

with dose to PCM, QoL points correlated with DVH parameters in the

glottis/supraglottic larynx

Both xerostomia and disphagia reduced after introduction of

IMRT
