Definition:

The major polysaccharide in aloe is glucomannan 

which is consisted of mannose (major) and glucose 

(minor) with 1,4‐β‐linked backbone;  

The mannose moieties are highly acetylated and are 

referred to acetylated glucomannan polysaccharides;
