days,

loaf
sugar
and
boil
for
twenty
minutes.

Fill
a
jar
with
raspberries
;
pour
vinegar
over
to
fill
the
jar
;
let
it
stand
a
fortnight,
stirring
daily
;
then
strain
off,
and
to
every
pint
of
juice
add
three-
quarters
of a
pound
of
white
sugar
;
boil
it
as
long
as
any
scum
rises
and
bottle
off
for
use.

Simple
syrup
one
gallon,
one
and
a
half
ounce
of
shrub,
one
ounce
and
a
half
citric
acid,
one-
eighth
of
an
ounce
prepared
carmine.

essence

tartaric
