The federal law relating to homeless children requires that “public notice” of the educational rights of
homeless children be “disseminated” by the local educational agency liaison in places where such
children receive services provided with federal homeless funding, such as schools, family shelters, and
soup kitchens. 42 U.S. Code
§
11432(g)(6)(A)(v). The law does not require a poster as such, but it
appears that the purpose of such law may be fulfilled through the use of appropriate posters and other
materials.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES IN PRESCHOOL ROOMS
The director of each preschool program must post in preschool rooms procedures for emergency
situations, including fire drills, rapid dismissals, and tornado drills. O.R.C. §§ 3301.56(A)(1)(b) and (c)
and 3737.73.
EMERGENCY NUMBERS BY EACH TELEPHONE
The director of each preschool program must post emergency numbers by each telephone. O.R.C. §
3301.56(A)(1)(d).
LICENSE OF PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS IN SCHOOL CHILD PROGRAMS
The school district board of education, county MR/DD board, or eligible nonpublic school must post the
current license for each preschool program and licensed school child program it operates, establishes,
manages, conducts, or maintains in a conspicuous place in the preschool program of licensed school
child program that is accessible to parents, custodians, or guardians and employees and staff members
of the program at all times
