5. CERTIFICATION OF NOTIFICATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM
APPLICATION
Every school district is required through posting of notices or other appropriate means to keep its
employees informed of public employees' rights and obligations under the Public Risk Reduction
Program, including the provisions of applicable Ohio employment risk reduction standards. O.R.C. §
4167.11.

1. DEADLY WEAPONS OR DANGEROUS ORDNANCE
The board of education, governing body of a school or principal of a nonpublic school, shall post in a
conspicuous location a sign containing the following statement “unless otherwise authorized by law, no
person shall knowingly possess, have under the person’s control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly
weapon or dangerous ordnance into a school safety zone.” O.R.C. § 2923.1212(B).
2. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES IN PRESCHOOL ROOMS
The director of each preschool program must post in preschool rooms procedures for emergency
situations, including fire drills, rapid dismissals, and tornado drills. O.R.C. §§ 3301.56(A)(1)(b) and (c)
and 3737.73.
3. EMERGENCY NUMBERS BY EACH TELEPHONE
The director of each preschool program must post emergency numbers by each telephone. O.R.C. §
3301.56(A)(1)(d).
4. LICENSE OF PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS AND SCHOOL CHILD PROGRAMS
The school district board of education, county DD board, or eligible nonpublic school must post the
current license for each preschool program and licensed school child program it operates, establishes,
manages, conducts, or maintains in a conspicuous place in the preschool program of licensed school
child program that is accessible to parents, custodians, or guardians and employees and staff members
of the program at all times when the program is in operation. O.R.C. § 3301.58(A).
