Mount Bi-Directional Coupler
Provides 100W Power Handling
from 2000 to 6000MHz
Mini-Circuits has expanded our
offering of surface-mount couplers
with a new series of stripline-based
models providing extremely high
power handling in a miniature,
low-profile printed laminate form
factor.
New model BDCH-10-63
is a bi-directional coupler which
achieves 100W RF power handling
and DC current passing up to 2A for
applications from 2000 to 6000MHz
including power amplifiers, antenna
feeds, military systems and more.
The coupler measures only
0.2x0.56x0.08” and provides 10dB
coupling with ±1.5dB flatness, 0.1dB
mainline loss, 25dB return loss at all
ports, and 22dB directivity. The unit
has a wide operating temperature
range from -55 up to +105°C,
making it suitable for use near high
power componentry where high
temperature is common.

Wideband MMIC Precision
Fixed Attenuator Die, DC to
43.5GHz
Mini-Circuits’ KAT-D series of MMIC
precision fixed attenuator dice extend
coverage to a wide array of applications
from DC to 43.5GHz including 5G
systems, microwave communications,
satellite, defense and aerospace, and
more. These fixed-value, absorptive
attenuators are fabricated through
highly repetitive MMIC processing
with thin-film resistors on GaAs
substrates and achieve ultra-wideband
performance with a single, contiguous
ground-plane, simplifying installation
into customer hybrids. Model KAT-1-D+
provides 1dB attenuation with ±0.3dB
flatness, 2W RF power handling, and
1.1:1 VSWR. KAT-series attenuator
dice are available in gel-paks of 5, 10,
50 and 100 KGD as well as partial and
full production wafers.

Mini-Circuits’ 141-4SBSM+ HandFlex™
interconnect cable is ideal for
interconnection of a wide variety of
cable assemblies from DC to 18GHz.
SMA-Female bulkhead connector on
one end is constructed with a nickel-
plated brass flange for making secure
connections directly through equipment
housing panels without the need for
extra adapters.
SMA-male connector at
the other end has a passivated stainless
steel coupling nut and built-in anti-torque
nut to prevent strain on the cable-connector
interface during installation.
Tight minimum bend radius of 8mm
makes these cables perfect for
installations in tight spots, and hand
formable cable construction allows easy
bending to almost any shape without
special bending tools often needed
in semi-rigid cable assemblies.
This
model is 4 inches in length and provides
30dB return loss at 18GHz, 0.25dB
insertion loss at 18GHz, and 90W power
handling at 18GHz. 141-series Handflex

IP3 MMIC Amplifier Module,
0.7 to 2.4GHz
Mini-Circuits’ HXG-242-4+ is an
advanced amplifier module combining
high-dynamic-range MMIC amplifier
and optimization circuits in a single
package to provide industry-leading
linearity over the 0.7 to 2.4GHz
band.
This model achieves industry-
leading IP3 performance of +46dBm
with low DC power consumption of
146mA (typ.). The amplifier operates on
a single +5V supply and delivers 14.3dB
gainwith2.4dBnoise figure, and+23dBm
P1dB.
It comes housed in a miniature
Mini-Circuits System-in-Package (MSiP)
module (6.4mmx7.0mmx2.4mm) with a
sealed ceramic cover and gold over Ni
wraparound terminations for excellent
solderability.
