ORANGEADE, OR SHERBET.

1.-J

uice of

oranges, thin

peel

of

orange,

lump sugar 4 ounces, boiling water 3 pints.

Put

into

a

soda-water bottle

ounce to

sirup of orange-peel,

of bicarbonate

of

potash,

ounces of water, and lastly,

40

grains of citric acid in crystals, and cork imme–

diately.

2.

Put into each bottle 2 or 3 dracluns of

sugar, 2 drops of oil of orange-peel,

30

grains

of bicarbonate of potash, or 25 grains of bicar–

bonate of soda; water to fill the bottle, and

40

grains of citric acid as before.
