ICMA‑RC Events Committee

The ICMA‑RC Events Committee is comprised of representatives from different divisions throughout

corporate headquarters. The committee’s objective is to sponsor and/or support various special activities and

events during the year. Associates interested in participating on the ICMA‑RC Events Committee should

contact Human Resources.

ICMA‑RC Wellness Committee

The ICMA‑RC Wellness Committee also includes representatives from various divisions throughout the

corporation. The focus of this committee is on health and wellness. Members meet several times during

the year to recommend and plan wellness-related programs and events, such as health fairs, wellness

communications, and special health-related promotions. Associates interested in serving on the Wellness

Committee should contact the Benefits Department in Human Resources.

Here’s an Idea: The RC Exchange

All associates are encouraged to participate in our associate suggestion program — Here’s an Idea: The RC

Exchange — which is administered by the ICMA‑RC Peer Roundtable. This exchange lets your ideas be heard

and helps effect positive change within the corporation. The Peer Roundtable periodically announces special

suggestion campaigns and encourages associates to submit ideas and suggestions related to that campaign

topic. Handwritten suggestions can be dropped at any time into the boxes provided in the pantries located

throughout our headquarters building. Submissions can also be made via the Peer Roundtable page on our

corporate intranet, or by email to

heresanidea@icmarc.org

.

Members of the Peer Roundtable read, review, and discuss suggestions with the appropriate subject owner.

Responses to suggestions are disseminated via the intranet, “Monday Update,” and/or postings in the

headquarters pantries.

Bring Your Child to Work Day

ICMA‑RC may participate in the nationwide Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day® at its corporate

headquarters. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 can visit ICMA‑RC for an educational day of activities

and interaction. Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® is a national public education program that connects

what children learn at school with the actual working world.

Mentor Advisory Program (MAP)

ICMA‑RC’s Mentor Advisory Program (MAP) provides an opportunity for qualified associates to gain

experience that can enhance career development and personal growth. In the program, associates work with

ICMA‑RC mentors to identify career goals and design a plan to develop the skills needed to attain those

goals, implement the plan, and evaluate its success. Interested associates can apply for the program or may be

nominated by their manager. Contact your manager or Corporate Learning for more information.
