The increasing demand for cables with
bigger diameters for infrastructure
projects, shipyard cables, offshore cables
and mining cables is also making greater
demands for braiders suitable for larger
cable diameters and cross sections.
Spirka Schnellflechter offers a
comprehensive product portfolio of 24,
32 and 36 carrier braiding machines
in vertical and horizontal applications
as well as for required combination
machines like taping units, payoff and
take-up for reels up to 2,500mm flange
diameter.
These braiding machines have an
application range for cables up to 65mm
and steel and copper wires up to 0.4mm
diameter and are also suitable for high
tensile steel wires and thread tension up
to 120 N.
One of the options for these applications
is the horizontal braider type Unidra
2410 for cables up to 65mm diameter
and copper and steel wires up to 0.4mm
diameter.
This braider can handle spools with a
maximum flange diameter of 120mm
with a capacity of 1.170cm3.

Eraser’s Model APF100 auto prefeeder and wire payout machine is designed for wire
with an outside diameter of 0.03" to 0.312" (0.762mm to 7.9mm) dependent upon
material condition. The unit can be used with any Eraser brand wire and tubing cutter
or cut and strip machine.
Model APF 100 prevents material overruns when used with intermittent feed machines.
The maximum drive speed is 100 inches per second.
Free standing and weighing 55lb (24.95kg), the unit will accommodate reels up to 18"
(457.2mm) in diameter and 12" (304.8 mm) in width.
