HFSAB
Stand: 10C18
H Folke Sandelin AB (HFSAB) from Motala,
Sweden, will be co-exhibiting at wire 2014
with Nieho Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co
KG of Germany.
HFSAB, a specialist in lead extrusion and
cable stripping equipment, will display for
the rst time the latest generation of the
CRRS (cable repair and recovery system).
HFSAB has developed the next generation
CRRS using the latest innovative solutions
to remove thicker layers of material than
previously possible. Forty per cent more
triple layer XLPE insulation (by volume)
over the previous design can be removed
with voltages up to 220kV and up to
25mm radial thickness.
The CRRS is also used for the removal of
outer sheathing materials such as HDPE
with or without a bonded thin aluminium
metallic sheath, PE, PVC or lead; the
maximum outside diameter of the cable
is 180mm with a maximum thickness of
material of up to 6mm.
The minimum cable diameter in the
standard form is 30mm, but smaller
diameters as low as 10mm can be
accommodated with an optional small
slitting head.
The CRRS is used to remove individual
layers without causing any damage to
