2.2 Method
All samples were prepared as stated in the instructions provided with the Test Materials Kit. All
powder products except SRM 1849 are reconstituted by dissolving 25 grams of powder in 200
grams of water. Results are expressed in g/100 g reconstituted final product.
The AOAC 997.08 method is followed like described, the chromatographic analyses were
performed by Gaschromatography. Based on the Ströber method, the incubation with
amyloglucosidase (AG) is skipped as the performance of the method is not influenced, calculations
are performed accordingly (Ströber and all,

The samples of the Test Materials Kit contain fat, so they are first defatted by use of hexane.
