Environment and security desk assessment started in the Mediterranean region (Morocco, Algeria,
Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Jordan and Lebanon) started. The MEDSEC
(Mediterranean security) concept proposed and negotiated with UNEP, OSCE and other partners.
•
Inputs and participation provided to UNEP-OSCE post-conflict mission to Georgia / South Caucasus. Maps
of environmental risks produced for the desk phase of the mission;
•
Eastern Caspian and Amu Darya assessments conducted for Central Asia region under the Environment
and Security initiative (ENVSEC).
2009
•
Environment and security desk assessment in the Mediterranean region (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya,

OSCE.
