Twenty-six Members present.
Mr.
Charles G. Gamble.
The Council passed a resolution expressing
its deep regret at the death of Mr. Charles
G. Gamble, a past President of the Society,
and its sympathy with Mrs. Gamble and his
relatives in their bereavement.
National
Health Insurance Act.
The procedure in relation to claims for
compensation under this Act was under con–
sideration, and the President undertook to
see the Secretary of the Unified Society in
reference thereto.
OBITUARY.
'CHARLES G. GAMBLE, Solicitor, died
upon the 9th February, 1934, at Dublin.
Mr. Gamble was admitted
in Hilary
Sittings, 1892, and practised as a. member of
the firm of Carruthers and Gamble, at 39
Fleet Street, Dublin.
Mr. Gamble was a member of the Council
from 1908 to 1928, and was President of the
Society during the year 1920-21. He was the
author of " Solicitors in Ireland, 1607-1921."
MR. THOMAS HUGGARD, Solicitor, died
upon the 9th February, 1934, at his residence,
Clonmore House, Tralee.
Mr. Huggard was admitted
in Hilary
Sittings, 1885, and practised at Tralee.
MR. WALTER J. L. WHEELER, Solicitor,
died on the 10th February, 1934, at his
residence, " The Bungalow," Marlborough
Park, Belfast.
Mr. Wheeler was admitted
in Trinity
Sittings, 1884, and practised as a member of
the firm of Wheeler and McCutcheon, at
2 Wellington Place, Belfast.
MR. PETER J. MURRAY, Solicitor, died on
the 12th February, 1934, at his residence,
Verbena House, iJpper St. Columba's Road,
Drumcondra, Dublin.
Mr. Murray served his apprenticeship with
his brother, Mr. Charles J. Murray, LL.D.,
Dublin, and practised at 16 Dame St.,Dublin.
MR. GERALD TENCH, Solicitor, died on the
22nd February,
1934,
at his
residence,
Geraklstown, Santry, Co. Dublin.
Mr. Tench was admitted in Michaelmas
Sittings, 1885, and practised under the style
of Tench and Reynolds, at 18 Bachelor's
Walk, Dublin.
MR. VALENTINE WILSON, Solicitor, died on
the 22nd February, 1934, at his residence,
Oakfield, Portadown.
Mr. Wilson served his apprenticeship with
the late Mr. William H.-Atkinson, Porta–
down ;
was admitted in Hilary Sittings,
1901, and practised at Portadown. He filled
the office of Sub-Sheriff for County Armagh
from 1923.
