Land Bond Certificates.

It was resolved to write to the Irish Land

Commission urging greater expedition in the

issue

of Land Bonds Certificates

after

allocation.

Judgment Mortgages on Registered Land.

A special committee was appointed to

consider and report whether some quicker

and less expensive procedure than that now

existing, in order to register a judgment

mortgage against registered land, could be

provided.

PROFESSIONAL

INFORMATION.

The business of J. and J. Galloway,

hitherto carried on by the late Joseph W.

Dyas at 14 South Frederick Street, Dublin,

has been taken over by WILLIAM HENRY,

who practises under the name of Henry and

Son at 11 Molesworth Street, Dublin, and the

combined businesses will be carried on by

him, under the name of Henry, Son and

Galloway, at 11 Molesworth Street.

The business of R. H. Beauchamp and Orr,

hitherto carried on by the late Alexander D.

Orr, at 5 Foster Place, Dublin, has been

taken over by HARRY R. WHELAN of 5

Foster Place, and PHILIP T. BROOKS of 30

South Frederick Street, Dublin, who have

entered into partnership, and will carry on

the business under the name of R. H.

Beauchamp and Orr at 5 Foster Place.

OBITUARY.

MR. PATRICK GRIMES, Solicitor, died on

the 3rd March,

1934,

at his

residence

" Sandhurst," Cowper Gardens, Dublin.

Mr. Grimes served his apprenticeship with

his brother Mr. Christopher M. Grimes,

Dublin ;

was admitted in Hilary Sittings,

1913, and practised as a member of the firm

of Gore and Grimes, at 6 Cavendish Row,

Dublin.

MR. THOMAS B. DUNBAR, Solicitor, died on

the 9th March, 1934, at Dublin.

Mr. Dunbar served his apprenticeship with

Mr. M. J. O'Connor, Wexford ; was admitted

in Trinity Sittings, 1917, and practised at

Enniscorthy.

MR. MARTIN J. BURKE, Solicitor, died on

the 13th March, 1934 at his residence,

" Dehra Lodge," Belfast.

Mr. Burke served his apprenticeship with

Mr. Robert E. McLean, Belfast; was ad–

mitted in Trinity Sittings, 1898, and prac–

tised at 53 Waring Street, Belfast, up to 1914,

when he was appointed Clerk of the Crown

and Peace for the Counties of Antrim and

the City of Belfast.

He also held the office of Local Registrar

of Title for Antrim and Carrickfergus.

He was an Extraordinary Member of the

Council of the Society from 1904 to 1914.

MR. GEORGE MARTIN, Solicitor, died on

the 22nd March, 1934, at his residence, 55

South Parade, Belfast.

Mr. Martin served his apprenticeship with.

Mr. John Mackay, Dundalk ;

was admitted

in Trinity Sittings, 1912,

and practised

formerly

at Oldcastle, Co. Meath, and

latterly at Mayfair, Arthur Square, Belfast.
