Wire & Cable ASIA – May/June 2007
In a manufacturing environment
which has seen increased product
specialisation, few cable machinery
suppliers can offer such a wide range
of equipment for power, data and
telecom cable production as CMS.
This has been achieved by acquisition
of well established manufacturers and
focusing on the key strengths that each
brand has built up over many years
of successful design, manufacturing
and installation. In so doing, CMS has
combined the established designs of
such well known industry names as
Winget Syncro, B&F Carter, Hanson
& Edwards, Babcock Wire Equipment
and Beaumont Machinery.
CMS has invested in
updating proven machine
designs to take advantage
of current manufacturing
technology.
As a result, major
contracts have recently
been won for new
machinery, as well as
extensive refurbishment of
existing machines.
This policy of moderni-
sation provides significant
advantages to the cable
industry, in that proven,
reliable machinery can
be supplied at highly
competitive prices.
CMS has a new manufacturing facility
equipped with efficient machine
building equipment, machining and
gear production. It also maintains
an excellent spares and service
department for all machines previously
supplied.
In partnership with Francis Shaw Cable
Machinery, CMS also offers CV lines,
extrusion lines and PLCV lines from the
Francis Shaw and General Engineering
product ranges. Francis Shaw and
General Engineering have supplied
more than 200 CV lines and 25 PLCV
lines worldwide. A full spares, support
and refurbishment service is provided.
CMS and Francis Shaw working
together can now offer complete
manufacturing solutions for cable
producers worldwide.
