Cuando cuelga su uniforme de policía y
parte rumbo a Mallorca para unas merecidas
vacaciones, a este alemán de 65 años le gusta
pasar el tiempo leyendo novelas de intriga
y misterio en su eBook. Es la sexta vez que
Andreas y su mujer visitan la isla, y la primera
que se hospedan en el Riu San Francisco. “Nos
gusta la ubicación, que no sea un hotel muy
grande, y también que no haya niños. No tene-
mos nada en contra de ellos, pero valoramos
mucho la tranquilidad…”, confiesa. Seguidor
empedernido de Stephen King, Andreas dio el
salto al libro electrónico hace un año. “Hay
que adaptarse a los tiempos modernos. Es
más práctico, más ligero, caben tantos títulos
como quiero y me puedo pasar horas leyendo
cómodamente en la tumbona de la piscina o en
la habitación”.

When Andreas hangs up his uniform and
sets off for Majorca for his well-deserved holi-
days, the 65-year-old German enjoys spending
his days reading mystery and suspense novels
on his e-reader. It’s Andreas and his partner’s
sixth visit to the island and the first time they
have stayed at the Riu San Francisco. “We like
the location, the fact that the hotel isn’t too big
and there are no kids. It’s not that we’ve got
anything against them, but we like our peace
and quiet…” confesses Patrick. A keen Stephen
King fan, Andreas made the switch to e-books
about a year ago. “You’ve got to move with the
times. It’s more practical, lighter, holds as many
books as I want and I can spend hours reading
in comfort lying by the pool or in my room”.

lorca aufbricht, genießt der 65-jährige Deutsche
die Zeit, die er mit dem Lesen von Romanen über
Intrigen und Geheimnisse auf seinem eReader
verbringt. Andreas und seine Frau sind zum
sechsten Mal auf der Insel und wohnen zum
ersten Mal im Riu San Francisco. „Uns gefällt
die Lage, dass es kein sehr großes Hotel ist und
auch, dass keine Kinder da sind. Wir haben
nichts gegen sie, aber die Ruhe schätzen wir
sehr…”, gesteht er. Als leidenschaftlicher Fan
von Stephen King stieg er vor einem Jahr auf
das elektronische
Buch um. „Man muss sich der modernen Zeit an-
passen. Es ist praktischer, leichter, es passen so
viele Titel hinein, wie ich möchte, und ich kann
stundenlang gemütlich auf dem Liegestuhl am
Pool oder im Zimmer lesen.”
